What was it about?
The one day seminar on “MECHANICAL GYROSCOPE & ITS APPLICATION” A gyroscope is a device for measuring or maintaining orientation, based on the principles of angular momentum.
was successfully organized on 20th November, 2014 by ASME Chapter at The University of Lahore (Deffence Road Campus). The Guest Presenter of the seminar was Professor Khurram Hameed. The seminar was break down into:
i. Session 1
ii. Quiz (According to 1st Session)
iii. Session 2
iv. Certificate Distribution to
a. Guest Presenter
b. ASME Executive Body
c. Quiz Winners
4 Winners of Quiz was awarded ASME Certificates
Who was there?
The seminar succeeded in getting attention and participation of students from various disciplines of engineering. Besides students, faculty members of Mechanical Engineering Department also attended the seminar. To name a few:
i. 200 plus student body of University of Lahore of various departments.
ii. Mechanical Engineering Faculty
How was the response? What were the outcomes?
The seminar proved to create an enthusiastic response from the future engineers, technologists and Physicists. At the end of the seminar the audience participated with great anticipation asking the presenter with knowledge- enriching questions.
Future Plans.
Further we are deciding to do Technical Projects under Technical Section of ASME University of Lahore and with these projects we will able to participate in NERC, SPDC, IMECE and other National and International Competitions and we hope that SRO will be very helpful for ASME University of Lahore so that we take University of Lahore at high peaks.
