Mechanical Gyroscope & It's Applications

A gyro may be a device for mensuration or maintaining orientation, supported the principles of momentum.  Mechanical gyroscopes usually comprise a spinning machine or disc within which the shaft is liberated to assume any orientation.
Gyroscopes supported alternative operative principles conjointly exist, like the electronic, microchip-packaged MEMS gyro devices found in shopper electronic devices, solid-state ring lasers, fiber optic gyroscopes, and also the extraordinarily sensitive quantum gyro.

Applications of gyroscopes embrace direction systems wherever magnetic compasses wouldn't work (as within the Edwin Powell Hubble telescope) or wouldn't be precise enough (as in worldwide flight missiles), or for the stabilization of flying vehicles like guided helicopters or unmanned  aerial vehicles. attributable to their exactness, gyroscopes also are employed in gyrotheodolites to keep up direction in tunnel mining.
